Wood Welcome Door Sign - Wood Craft Pattern

This is a fast, fun and easy to make fall-themed wooden door sign.

Wood Pumpkin Welcome Door Sign - Fall themed Wood CraftYou will need:

41" Pine wood
43/8" Scrap wood
41/4" Scrap wood
4Wood Glue
4Paints (Delta Opaque Yellow, Delta Pumpkin, Delta Autumn Brown and Delta Forest Green)
4Painters Pen (Black)
4Miniwax provintial stain
4Some rusty wire
4Basic Woodworking Tools (To cut pattern out of pine and drill holes)

 

Directions:

To begin, download and print the complete pattern (3 pages) below:

Tape pattern together. Cut pumpkin sign out of 1" pine. Cut sunflower out of 3/8" scrap wood. Cut flower center from 1/4" scrap wood. Paint pumpkin with delta pumpkin paint. Paint flower with delta opaque yellow paint and the center of the flower with delta autumn brown. Paint the top stem of the pumpkin with delta forest green paint. Allow paint to dry.

Now with painters black pen write 'WELCOME' sign on pumpkin. Sand edges of the pumpkin heavily to give a well worn look. Stain all pieces with miniwax provintial stain. Now glue center of the flower on the sunflower. Glue complete sunflower on to the pumpkin. Drill holes where marked with X's with a small drill bit. Add rusty wire through holes and twist in front to secure. Add raffia to the wire. Your fall-themed, wood welcome door sign is ready! Hang by wire on your door.
